Beyond the stage - 2025 in review
2025 was a landmark year for Footnote New Zealand Dance. The company celebrated 40 years of creating world-class contemporary dance, which is no small feat in the Aotearoa arts community. Whānau from across the past four decades and the world came together to honour what Footnote has achieved, and look towards its bright future.
2025 saw Footnote continue to weave together communities across the country through the joy of dance; with performance seasons of new works such as the critically acclaimed Modern God by Jeremy Beck, schools workshops for rangatahi, and community professional development and sector opportunities like the Pōneke Festival of Contemporary Dance.
