Footnote provides a safe space for practitioners to take artistic risks and is proud of its commitment to advance contemporary dance in New Zealand and inspire diverse audiences through this work.

If you enjoy being part of a small tight knit team that contributes to the behind-the-scenes of the performing arts sector then this is a rare opportunity to join New Zealand’s longest standing contemporary dance company.

The role is divided into four key areas:

A passion for contemporary dance as an artform is desirable along with some experience in the wider arts sector. Key tasks and responsibilities include: writing copy and managing marketing campaigns for upcoming performances, preparing funding applications, updating website and social media, day to day financial administration, ticketing and booking systems management and providing support to the Footnote Dance Trust Board.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent writing skills, the ability to be adaptable whilst working to deadlines, experience of working within set budgets, have great relationship building and fundraising skills and be willing to travel with the company from time to time.

Footnote New Zealand Dance is core-funded by Creative New Zealand, with additional support from Wellington City Council, a variety of Trusts, Foundations and our incredible individual supporters network.

We are looking for someone with energy and drive, who is agile and solutions focused, with a supportive and collaborative approach to working relationships.
