Festival Fever…
From Perforum in the NZ Fringe to MTYLAND in the New Zealand International Arts Festival, Footnote Dance truly has Festival Fever!
MTYLAND
“Mtyland is a courageous work of vast philosophical theme”
“There is no doubt that Footnote dancers are performing strongly.”
Jennifer Shennan, Dominion Post. Read more of this review HERE.
“There’s a raw, honest, confident edge to this work (a rock and roll attitude)”
“With its seamless dancing and production, [MTYLAND] is strongly recommended to dance lovers.”
Mark Amery, NZ Herald. Read more of this review HERE.
“It is wonderful to see Footnote Dance take their rightful place in this international festival and I appreciate the opportunity to revisit this multi-layered and powerful work.”
“O’Neil has always been an exciting mover herself and in this work she transfers that abandoned, dangerous, sensuous movement compulsion to the wonderful dancers in this feisty company.”
Lyne Pringle, Theatreview. Read more of this review HERE.

Perforum

“A tantalising appetizer”
“These are powerful images showing the Company in top form”
Jenny Stevenson, Theatreview. Read more of this review HERE.
“Footnote’s Perforum is unique amongst Fringe’s offerings: with no costume, no set and nervous adlibs accompanying each piece it’s more an open rehearsal than a performance in itself. That said, Footnote has a well-deserved reputation as one of the country’s foremost dance companies and the shows are an opportunity to see their work stripped of spectacle.”
Rory MacKinnon, Scoop. Read more of this review HERE.
